Hey, Does anybody know what NAPA/ WIX/ Car Quest, etc. filter numbers cross reference from Timberjack filter part #'s 8411228 (strainer) and 8411230 (filter)?  Want to switch from cannister elements to spin-on's.  Thanks all.

bushmechanic

Not sure about Napa numbers but here are Baldwin numbers 8411228-BF592,8411230-BF593.Also here are Donaldson numbers if those are better 8411228-P550936,8411230-P550928.Those are part numbers for Detroit diesel fuel filters if that is what is in your TJ450A.

i just converted my 230d to spin ons i bought new bases from the baldwin dealer they bolt right in place and use the origional lines all i needed was a couple of 1/4-3/8 pipe bushings. i also put on an adaptor kit to convert the oil filter. pm me if they are not available in your area and i will send you the number of my baldwin dealer and he can ship them to you.

Hey fella's the timing for this conversation is perfect. I have my old TJ tore down, and getting it converted to spin-on's would be a perfect addition while its apart !!!! I noticed the discussion centered around a 4-53, does anyone have any info on a 3-53 or would it be the same parts ????? Any info most welcome.....
I knew she was a keeper when she told me to buy the old skidder !!!!!

bushmechanic

Yes deerguy the fuel filters are the same, that's how I knew the numbers they are the same ones for our TJ230D forwarders with 353's in them. Not sure if the oil filter would be the same.
