caution: coffee hot.  one of those common sense statements that still have to be stated so nobody else sues mcdonalds when they burn themselves dumping hot coffee all over themselves.
I got into an argument with one of my empoyees about them not unpluging the skill saw when they changed the blade (and no, he does not work with me anymore).
Some precautions are so simple with such high consequences if not followed that it makes me wonder about some people's common sense in general.  Toocycle, you better watch that guy if he sticks around.  He lacks an area of common sense, those kinda of people are dangerous to themselves and everyone around them.  Those kind of people make me real nervous.
I cut it twice and it's still too short

:D  I've got some pretty tough skin so I'd ALMOST be willing to dump some hot coffee on me from a cup without a liability warning for some money - notice i said ALMOST..

Losing a finger or 3 though....  I pick my nose too much for that..   :D

It's just not a safe practice to be grabbing a chain, saw blade or any such thing with the power source activated .You could prune a finger right off then how pray tell  could you pick your nose or scratch your ear not to mention your power finger without much details on that .Not good .

Unplug the drill too. I was under a porch with a ½" drill, drilling a house for blown in insulation when I worked for the state. The bit came loose and I was using the chunk key to tighten it back up. I had my finger on the switch, ::) and gave the key one last good turn and that's all it took. I pressed the trigger and the skin between my thumb and finger took a beating. I forgot how many stitches,no more than 10 I know that. Like the doctor said there is nothing in there so it really tore it up.

As the Foreman you should have the authority to enforce safety rules and practices written or not. I spent over 40 years in machine shops and the last 8 years as a supervisor, when someone argued that I was too strict on safety I told them that when I retire I want them to have 2 eyes to see me leave and a full selection of fingers to wave goodby and I wouldn't care at that time if they just showed me one finger or a full hand. Last year when I retired they all fit my prefered description.
