What roads are being posted? I am cutting two lots near you over in Prospect and haven't seen any signs up yet.

You guy got to be kidding!!! posted roads in January !!!! usually happens around March 1st around here now ,for years it was March 15th.

I saw one posted just up the road. I thought when I got to my road I would see the orange sign,but either they ran out of signs or will get to it tomorrow.

Boy, frigging muddy here today..52 degrees and rain.  Just took a walk on the lot i'm working, 3 inches of slop on top of frost.  Supposed to turn off cold again so figured i'd leave it sit and let it button up tonight.  If this keeps up posters will surely pop up quick in these parts.

The possum been out for a couple weeks now, as well as the raccoon.
But tonight they likely are going to stay holed up somewhere's cozy.  ;D

The other day you could wear shorts. Today my chain froze to the bar several times. Not saying it was cold but it was brisk. lol What was froze solid is a muddy mess now. Today though it started to firm back up. You just never know what Mother Nature will send your way.

I seen this happen back in 1981, everybody panicked. They posted the roads only to have to bag the signs the next week. I tried to tell everybody it was to early for it to stay warm. A coupe guys tore up the forestry road going to my job. They had ruts, the truck left a housing mark down the center. They froze that way, what a mess, i'm talking something like 5 miles. The Fed's were going to fine-em. They were hauling company wood, so the Co. agreed to fix the road.

coxy, the wife used to say the same thing to me before she started working with me. Once she got out there, she caught logging fever and loved it.

I heard that Jay,ME are taking down the signs next week.

They don't take them down here until about June.  ;D

They fixed the last 2 miles of the highway by home to the boarder last summer. The other end leading onto town from the new 4 lane was done back in 2009. The worst part of the road from the corner of our rural road to the highway on into town, about 3 miles, has never been fixed in 25 years other than patches the log trucks beat out within a week. They are great illusionists here when it comes to roads. The entrances look nice, but just travel about 4 miles and see the sad state of the roads. : I've been on state roads in rural MI and I never seen the roads all torn up like here. Their winters are as cold as here.

They don't take them down here until about June.  ;D

The last I heard the restrictions will be lifted the second week of May.  Have you heard something different?  We plan on starting harvest operations the week after next so I hope you are wrong on this one.

Ken, I was just joking. Never looked up the timing. But not all areas are posted and lifted at the same time.

Seem like they always put May 15 on the signs here than go from there.
