Here she is another piece of support equipment for the mill. A Model A Patrick Forklift 1952-53. 4X4 4 cyl Ford Lehman diesel. It's got the grapple which is very handy and is capable of picking up full length logs. Got the engine running and am doing the brakes now. Need a couple hydraulic things, a few gaskets, and she's good to go.... With the days longer I can work on her after school now. I think there's another member on here with an AR-5??

Been working on the forklift and traded my mechanic some 2X6 cedar for his time. It was a good size load. 45/20' was the total count

I'd be impressed if the front trailer rack holds that load for much of a road trip.   ;D

Hope it did.

haywire woodlot

Nice job, 20's can be challenging to cut on a standard lt40 without equiptment to place it just right on the mill!

We put some short 4X4's under the top 2X6 rack, after noticing the load was pushing it down. She held all the way, with no problems. :)

haywire, the 20's were frustrating at times. Especially when flipping the cant, it would shift an inch or or to towards the front of the mill. Luckily I've got the excavator to place the logs. The job is done now and everything went relatively smooth.

Nice looking lumber.I'm a cutting some cedar now.If I could find some straight ones on my land I could cut some 20 footers. Good thing I only needed a few 12 footers.Than if I do find one 2 feet across,it's so rotten can't get much out of the first 8 feet.

Poston I've cut a lot of 16-20' cedar, but all out of power poles.
