On my 40, the log turner tube slides in between the ears and the pin traps the turner tube and keeps it from kicking out.  The bottom of the log turner ears stab into the ground.  The hook goes under the frame and the frame and the frame ears slide up the log turner tube which acts like a jack leg.  Lift rear of mill until the axle rolls under frame.  
Still 261cm, JD 1025r, Hoping to add boardwalk bandmill soon.

Bstueve- thanks for the explanation on lifting the mill with the turner. Makes sense with the explanation. First thought would be that mill would tip sideways if supported from front jack and rear lifter, but I guess supporting mill on 2 front screw levelers would prevent tipping. What a simple but useful design!  Thanks again!
