Trapper (remember him?) sent me to the FF.

Well,  it was a round about way.  He was posting over on the "other forum" all kinds of stuff that needed to be rebutted.  Then Tom gets into the dowg fight with some stuff about "My mill's bigger than your mill."  My reply was that I didn't buy my mill by the pound.  Tom later e-mailed me directly and we've lived happily ever after.  One of his early e-mails,  he led me onto the FF.

So...Thanks Trapper!  You never know what might grow out of a pile of manure.  ::)

And thanks Tom for the seed.

I wish Trapper was still around as he sure could stir up Arky. :D :D

I, too, found this site through Tom's link on WoodWeb. One of the many, many things I like about The ForestryForum, is that I can say "WoodWeb" on here without being castigated(No, Duh-Duane, read it again) or deleted.

Fab, I'm glad Jeff encouraged you to stick around. Your input has given us a glimpse of forestry in another part of the world. You are the sole representative of an entire continent on this forum! :) :)  You shouldn't worry about your English, nor J-T about his typing. We all understand what you are saying, and that's the important thing. Heck, Pender is a english teacher, and he misses a lick, now and then, himself. :D :D

Welcome in, Dancan! 8)  I'm glad you made the leap from "lurker" to poster. Half the fun is tossing comments back and forth. Never pass up a topic just because it doesn't look interesting to you. It can change subjects in the middle, and you can miss a lot, if you don't check. ;)

I was lucky that someone on the other site mentioned this one.I was trying to follow a thread on WW but it wasn't making much sense. A poster said that this site had a better answer. He was quite correct ! This has been my prefered site ever since. A " job well done" to Jeff and the other Admins.

How did I first find this forum?

Thats a tough one, I dont recall how I found it but I'm happy I did. Its a wealth of information, if all people on earth were as willing to share their knowledge as we are there would be less people with problems out there. I think I'll make a poll, How would you rate this forum? Whadda ya think?
Let there be saws for all mankind!
