Power Feed Motor Problem

Recently began having a problem with the power feed motor on my Woodmizer 40HD. Problem began with the forward direction, either not moving or jerking. I pulled the motor and replaced the brushes, installed and motor and now has high pitch sound when moving forward until speed reached max. Sometimes the motor still won't go in forward direction. Reverse is smooth as always. Beginning to think motor is going out. Any ideas?
