Lynn,

Sorry to hear about the tumble. Glad it was nothing more serious. It is amazing how quick we can get hurt over a simple thing.

I should comment about brain scans in parts of Ga coming back negative but I see you further qualified yours as negative for a concussion. ;)

Good thing that you didn't hurt your mill, otherwise you may have had to quit sawing for 1 day. :(
Glad its all ok, you are one tough guy for being retired..

Oh Lynn, the things you'll do for attention.  Ouch.

A man came today to look at cedar lumber, but couldn't take any home with him today, because he was driving a small car.  He insisted though on paying me $40 for 4 boards that he will pick up next week.  I tried to tell him I would hold the boards for him without the money, but he wouldn't hear of it.  I'm glad he did.

This afternoon I was going to go the post office to mail some packages, pick up fish dinner and then pick up my son from track practice.  I'm standing at the PO and realized that I forgot my wallet.  I called my wife and asked her to meet me in town with my wallet.  I then remembered that I had $40 in my pocket.  Shipping for my packages was $41.25, so I went out to the truck to get 5 quarters so I could pay for shipping.  Of course then I met Cindy with my wallet so I could have some money to pay for dinner.  I did not have $23 in quarters.  Dinner was good and Liam had good track practice.

Lynn, you gotta stop doing dumb stuff like that. Geez man! Send the kid in there to clean that stuff out (you know, that 50 year old over there). I don't know how many more of these photos we can stand. :D Geez. I am really glad you just got out of it with another hole in your head and nothing worse. I will forgo any comments about them not finding anything on your CT.

Bill, I nearly did the same thing tonight. I took my wife out to dinner for her 71st birthday and never thought about money until halfway through the meal. Then I remembered I had a couple of 50's in my pocket I keep there for business incidentals. I carry it in my pockets for months and never need it most times, but when you do, you do. Saved my butt tonight. Happy wife, Happy life.

My customer drove me to the Quick Care.  When I got out of his truck I remembered that my billfold was on the driver's seat of my truck.  No insurance card, CC, money, nothing.  Not to worry, they had me in their system.

Now see, there are benefits to being a repeat customer.  ::)

Probably so because it happened too quick for me to bark and the log said nothing. :-X

Lynn,
When you said you were gonna slow down production, I didn't realize you meant by any means necessary.  Hope you get feeling better quickly.

Last year, I tried to shave the corner of expanded metal off of my tractor's grill guard, with my forehead, while ducking under the loader arms.  It took 7 staples to mend that canyon.  Funny thing, I don't remember it hurting, but it sure did when I tried to get the dried blood out of my hair.

Sorry, no photos.  So I guess someone here will say it didn't happen. ::)

I knew that I whacked my head but I put my cap back on and continued working.  I did not realize that I was bleeding until my hat band caught all that it could hold and then I noticed blood on my arm and gloves.  When I took my cap off I had a mess all at once.  My customer saw it and called to the tailgunner.  They took a look and quickly decided that I needed medical attention.

I have to put some pressure on it this morning to feel any pain and it really isn't actual pain.  I am off to sawing this morning.

@Bindian  apparently you didn't watch Yellowhammer's recent video on unloading logs from a trailer with a loader.  In it he advises against walking under the loader arms.  I do it all the time and I have hit my head, but have not let out any blood.

Lynn,

From now on, leave the swan diving to the swans.

Howard,

Just because I inferred that maybe your ancestors had small brain cases, it was nothing personal.  In the meantime don't fret.  It is not your fault.  At least you are a kind and generous man to be giving Old Greenhorn so much help, and he never even had to ask you for it.

Danny,

Thanks for the kind words (?).

Is it really true your family had their last family reunion at the zoo to save on transportation, meals and lodging expenses?

Danny,

My mom won't let me go to any more family reunions on her side of the family because the last time I did I made up a booklet with all the wanted pictures I could collect from the post office (Back when they still had them on display). Every time a new family member came in I'd walk over and flip through the pages as I looked at them real closely. I figured in the worst case I would add a little levity to the event and, under the best case, I might make some money! Mom did not appreciate the idea.
