I know it's a general question with not a whole lot of specifics, but do any of you know about the average temp of the water as its returning back into your boiler? I'm heating my water heater and have a heat exchanger? I used a thermal gun and came up with about 82 degrees as the water temp going back into the boiler. It has turned real cold here and I'm having some issues with the 6048, just curious what the temp of other boilers might be. I figured 82 was a bit low?

Have you checked your pump?  when I have that problem the impeller in my taco pump has  Disintegrated

Sounds like you may have an air lock causing water to flow very slowly. Also, are you sure your hot and cold lines are connected to the correct ports?
