Built this for a friend for a wedding gift.  Pecan top with a blue pine bench.

I used  pre-cat lacquer, thanks for the complement, wasn't sure how the white base would look with the lighter top, the spalting gave it a little contrast color.

Just finished a set of pecan steps for my daughter.....I had never used pecan before....was pleased with the result

Thanks for all of the complements. Pecan is pretty wood but it moves a lot when it dries.
