hi,
as mentioned in my first post, I'm new here, and upgrading from a manual 24hp (power feed & up/down) mill to an LT70 super wide.

I'm looking for creative ideas about how to repurpose my old mill.  I doubt I'd get much/enough for it if I were to sell it.  I've thought about turning it into a dedicated vertical edger with some kind of modified clamp and/or a resaw.  I saw somebody of FF who had put a treadmill on their bed for a resaw- I'm not sure how practical that turned out to be for them.

My best day on the 24hp mill was about 2000bf, and of course the bottleneck with a manual mill is the loading and turning.  So I was thinking I could potentially use the 70 as a breakdown saw and feed the 24 as a resaw and get a pretty good production gain.  2 sawyers, 1-2 off-bearers.

I'm interested to hear any ideas and experiences you've had with this kind of thing.

thanks,
Bigly
