The air fryers are the best. Makes it so easy! Fry’s are the best out of a air fryer!

Nice cabin! Looks very cozy

Never been. But it's a great get away from, ahem, the world. ;)
Trying harder everyday.

How about some black caulk for those boards in the kitchen?

Nice, a bit spoiled though with cell service and electricity ;). None of those at my cabin.

Like the cabin critters, I have a few on my living room ceiling.

My first thought for the wall cracks was thin strips of wood, (board and baton style) if the batons were 1/4" or 3/8" thick and the edge relieved or rounded over a bit the should not look too clumsy.

Looks tight for a set of stairs other than outside?

Jeff

Yea, I've sat in that cabin for years thinking on how to add steps inside without destroying space. Tammy came up with the most logical, turn our room into the stair area adding storage and utylities, like the compressor I will need to blow the system out in the fall.  Plus. Id need a bathroom up there. Can of worms! As is, is a better solution. No one else uses Lynda's room when she isn't  there but Tammy and I. Anyone can use our room then. Thats where our friends stay. If lynda is there, and not us, same rules. Our room for guests. Anything else, they need to climb the pull down and pitty the weak bladder.

There is room to put a trailer though.

I know that it's a whole different can of worms, but how about a spiral stare case? Yes it's got it's own set of issues, but it's gonna take up a LOT less floor space.
Trying harder everyday.

Jeff

I'm going to hope Tammy never sees that idea. Who's going to build food plots and try to rejuvenate the pond while I'm working on building a stairs?  :D

I guess you could put in a slide for those rushed trips to the can.

Seems like in small buildings by the time you figure the cost and labour of the stairs as well as the square footage lost on both floors it would be easier to add 12 more feet to the building and have full headroom too. I have said more than once that if I built another house it would built so I could do any repairs and maintenance with a 8' step ladder.

Old Greenhorn

I really enjoyed this one. I think it may be the best video yet. Can't wait to sit down and jaw with you folks. If Tammy puts a craft room upstairs, you may need to start building a shed to work on projects. ;D :D

Bob Ross shirt! :D

Maybe on the gable end upstairs, instead of having a window, put in a door to a small deck and an outside stairway? ???
That way your not taking up floor space inside, and better than a folding attic ladder.

That has been considered. But no one wants to go outside to come back inside, and when the weather sucks up there, it sucks.

But what if you could enclose it like a stairwell?

Every solution presents it's own set of problems.  Out the one end, you would need a new exit, via the kitchen or the bear bedroom. Out the back door screen porch, you would need a new roof.

You can see that in my woods. I shot some pics of some hangers on from the last bad blow. For a few years much of the woods was quite dangerous to be in.
