I am heading out from Temple, Tx. to Camp Lejuene, Nc. with an empty 12,000# GVW, 9000# load capacity, 20' bumper pull. I am willing to haul up to 9000# of cargo, as long as there is a way to load and offload the cargo.
Cost will be for fuel only from pickup to drop off location and willing to detour 75 miles off my route.

Route of travel will be I35 N to waco, (could go all the way to I35E, into Dallas, then pick up I20) picking up 84/31, staying on 31 up through Corsicana, to Tyler, picking up I20 E through La., Ms., Al., into Ga., through Atlanta, up to I95 N to Hwy. 74 to I140/40 to Hwy. 17, into Jacksonville, Nc.

I will be loaded with a 4dr short wb diesel p/u w/ a flatbed on it. I should have around 2,000#s of hauling capacity on my way back to Tx and will take the exact same route home.

Dates will be departing on Fri, 20 Aug, and being back home on Sun or Mon, 22 or 23 Aug.

I sure wish you were coming by here as I got a call from a guy south of there wanting some basswood from me for carving. I thought about making the trip down to visit friends there at Jacksonville and sell the club all my basswood. I've got about 1,000 bf and figured the club could buy it all and pay for my trip.

Are you going to be there full time now? We've got a member there at Sneads Ferry. Sounds more and more like a good reason to go visit. Enjoy.

What a great offer!

I'd love to get a couple of pallets of mesquite firewood for the grill! I'll have to check Craigslist to see if anybody near Ft. Hood is selling any.

Great (and thank you).

There is a guy in Bertram that has some mesquite advertised for sale.  I've written him to enquire if he would be willing to palletize it for shipment, and also to find out if he has a way to load the pallets onto your trailer.

I've built firewood pallets before by wrapping a pallet with the orange mesh that you find surrounding small excavations on construction sites, but don't know if the seller is willing to put that much work into it.

I can bring a trailer with a skid steer to shift the pallets from your trailer to mine.

Iv seen those 275-300 metal frame plastic totes with the tops cut out, loaded with wood. But if the stuff is just thrown in there and not properly stacked, you wont get as much.
