Jeff

How would you like your name or Company logo on a 3 Dog Night concert t-shirt and up on the big screen on A World Famous act's concert stage?

I don't reach out to the membership very often, but I have something I'd like to ask of ALL the members.

Tammy and I, in the name of the Forestry Forum, donate much of our extra time and funds where we can to the Coleman Veterans Memorial. It is a world class veterans memorial located about 25 miles from here. This will be the 10th year that the Forestry Forum has helped support the memorial. Tammy and I don't have a lot of extra money, but each year we do a $500 sponsorship. This year we did about $1000 We also volunteer to help take care of the memorial and work the annual fund raiser. several years ago, the memorial committee recognized our commitment to help and asked us to become board members. We accepted with honor. In 2019 we asked the forum members for help and you really came through. Enough so that The Forestry Forum was named the stage sponsor at our fund raiser that year

The memorial's main fund raiser is our "United by Sacrifice" concert held each year, the Sunday before memorial day. Our kickoff for ticket sales began last night for this years concert. With our $1000 sponsorship the Forestry Forum gets our name on the concert t-shirts and a mention on the website and the forum logo displayed on the big board with other sponsors during the concert.  What I would like to ask of the members is can you help our with a donation directly to the memorial on top of our $1000?  Your contributions are tax deductible as the memorial is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation. Tammy and I have already given in the name of the forum $1000 as we do each year but lets see how much farther as a group we can go!

LINK TO SPONSOR FORM INFO

We have a special link where you can donate that will recognize you for being a Forestry Forum member helping out this great cause.  Be it a few dollars, or what every you feel you could give, it would be greatly appreciated, OR  you can donate along side with the forum and have your name or your company name, or logo displayed on the concert shirt and big board on the stage, depending on the donation amount Lets see what the Forestry Forum can do this year. I know our members have great heart and I would like to use this opportunity to prove it to a wider audience beyond the Forest Products Industry.

I encourage you to go to the link below and make a donation, then explore the website to learn about the Coleman Veterans Memorial. I also encourage as many of you as possible that come to the next pigroast. I can guarantee your heart will be touched. The memorial has a soul and when you visit it, you can feel it.

Below is the donation link. Donations go directly to the Coleman Veterans Memorial. Who is with us?!  It would be so awesome to see a bunch of the forestry forum member's fill that concert shirt with your logos this year!! We will put them on the sleeves if we have to!!

Another note. A little over a year ago, because of your help and the success you helped with, the Coleman Veterans Memorial was able to reach back to the Forestry Forum and donate to some of our member causes from funds raised.  Just ask @caveman  or @doc henderson for a couple of examples. :)

The picture above is of the first forestry team that I ever coached to win the national FFA Forestry Career Development Event. All of those students are leading successful adult lives.  Two have forestry degrees, one is a high school agriculture teacher and the young man on the far right of the picture is my son in law.  He and my middle daughter are expecting their first child, maybe today.

This picture was taken at Florida's FFA Forestry Camp.  Five of those students have participated in national ffa contests in Indianapolis or Oklahoma, some in both places.
This group above was the one who directly benefitted from the Coleman's Memorial Fund's generosity.  They received a check to help them with travel expenses to the National FFA Forestry CDE last fall.  I was completely surprised with the check.  Thinking back on it, it was Danny Hamsley (WDH) who called me and let me know about a donation to our FFA to help with expenses.  Dang, I miss him daily.  I appreciate and commend the effort that Jeff and Tammy extend to the Colman's Memorial.

The two on the right in the bottom picture are the youngest of three
"Cavegirls" (each competed on different forestry teams).  Shelby, on the far right is an FFA Advisor and teaches with me.  She was also a National FFA Forestry Champion is 2015.  Madison, our youngest, along with the rest of her team competed in October 2022.

That's awesome Caveman! We did a pour much like the one in the video for my bosse's small town memorial, you want to talk about nervous, it HAD to be perfect, a lot of curves, angles, and slopes, but thank God for the angels on our shoulders we nailed it. God bless all the service men and women, past and present. Jeff, tried donating via debit card having a little trouble but it's coming.
