When You Make A Call

Trying to straighten out a medical bill or a problem with something you purchased. Don't we have any english speaking people in this country ? Pretty sick of company's having people from India answering the phone and you can't understand what there saying. But on the other hand maybe they do that so you get *pithed off and give up  ;D.

I think in most cases yer talking with an offshore call center.

About a month ago I was on the phone with a lady. Told her it was most unusual and a pleasure, to finally get someone from the US.  Someone I could totally understand. She started laughing and told me she was at a Canadian call center.

 :D You must be from the north. Most of the call centers seem to be in India or the Philippines where labor is cheap and English is not the first language. I once made a 911 call to report an MVA, I was furious at the delay while trying to make myself understood.

I thought I was the only one that had problems understanding people on the phone. 

Trying to straighten out a billing issue with a dentist today. Their final answer (after getting 5 others) was 'That is the way it is in the computer and we can't do anything about it'. Well, ever tried presenting a discrepancy to a computer?

   The phone and utility companies seem to be the worst. I had the same thing last week with UPS about an order from WM. I think I had the same call center Autocar must be using.

    To their credit the few times I ever called Amazon they were top-notch and more often than the original problem from my fault from ordering the wrong part.

The worst experience I ever had was calling Goggle about a Gmail account, you never ever get to speak with a human from anywhere. I was somehow locked out of my account and finally gave up, created a new account with a new user name etc.
