Hercules clutch cylinder

Looking for some help with rebuilding the clutch cylinder on my winch.

The cup seals failed a little while ago and I ordered new ones however they where made of a harder material and it still leaked.

After talked with a the company I bought them from they suggested I buy a "kit" that they had.
that contained 2 aluminum seal mounts 2 seals and 3 o-rings.

Now my question is where does the third o-ring go.  I do not see it indicated on the supplied diagram or even listed as a supplied part.

I have installed a few of these and if memory serves me right there is an extra o-ring  that you won't use. I think you have a choice between a thick one and a thinner one.
