HI All,

Just wondering if anyone would have some info on the cylinders for a cranab crane.  One of the cylinder tubes wont stay on and keeps loosening.  Just wondering if anyone had a DYI fix for this issue.

Thank you for your help.

I had a snow plow cylinder that the gland would come off so in a pinch to keep it going while I ordered a new cylinder I tried to spot weld it on but the gland was cast and weld would not stick so I ended up putting it in the cylinder and drilling a couple of holes through the cylinder  into the gland threaded area and put some short steel rods in them flush with the cylinder then I could weld the end of the rod to the cylinder. I got a new cylinder but never put it on because the temporary fix worked so well.

Hi all,

Got it put back together, put a few controls in to prevent it from reoccurring,
- Used lock tight on the cylinder and sleeve.
- Used 3 inch angle and made a clamp and bolted the both ends together.

Will let you know how it works it will be a week before I get to try it out.

Thank you all.
