They are saying here that coffee is going to take a jump up in price because of drought in Brazil. I thought when a commodity was grown around the globe in different  countries it buffers prices a little. We'll see I guess.

As a kid in the 70s, I remember a big freeze in Brazil that made coffee prices jump. And they never came back down. Just another excuse to boost prices.

Locally coffee goes up and down. Brand I buy will be $12 a kg jar for awhile, then $16 for awhile, then drop down to $10, then up to $14. Same can at same store in Quebec is usually $2 a can cheaper, sometimes $4 difference. We are beholding to central Canada for everything. Never used to be that way when I was a kid. Most of the old companies are pretty much gone and dried up from here. Next generation living off old money and never worked.
