IP Address note

  I noticed (again) on threads when I post at the bottom of my info on the left is a one liner saying "Show IP address".

  Is this something I failed to set up in my profile? I don't even think I could spell "Show IP Address."

    It does not seem to be affecting anything. I was just wondering if it is something I need to fix? Is it an option I have not activated?

You don't have to do anything with it.  The old server showed it automatically.  Every so often we use it to see where a post is coming from.  Unfortunately most tracking now leads you to the company's providers city.  Checking on mine recently showed me to be in Washington state.

You see only your i.p. its always been there. We, the admins see them all.
