All Y'all don't know what yer missin. That there is a plumb good mess-O-vittles.  ;) 8)  That "RED" stuff ain't Ketchup or "Catsup" as the Yankees call it.  ;D ;D

  I wouldn't mind a mess of Okra stirred into that meal.  ;) ;) ;D ;D :)

Okra grows really well down here FDH - you will be okay. We can probably grind up some field corn for you for the grits too...

So, how did I end up here anyway?

Fla._Deadheader

Alfredo, I can not harvest the Okra. You sold the chainsaw.  :( :( ;D

Nope, still have it until you get down here - besides you don't need an Alaskan chainsaw to cut it - just a regular chainsaw will be fine....

So, how did I end up here anyway?

I've not seen that RED STUFF in a long time. Might just have to make some. ;D

Y'all talk like corn licker is something special, now, I have drank my fair share of Platte River Valley corn licker, and it cannot hold a candle to the stuff them Scots produce from the peat bogs of scotland.

Steak and scotch, fit for royalty, and a poor southren country boy.

I dont know what yankees you Harold know but everybody I know says ketchup. We aint got no control on how they spell it on the bottle.
I can change my profile okay. No errors. If you can,t remove all the extra info in other fields and try.

I wuz about ta get on yer case there, Woodbowl, fer havin' such a wimpy little breakfast.  Then I noticed ya posted it on Sunday, and ya wouldn't wanta overdo it just before church.  On a reglar mornin' though, you'd want the rest of them Grits, two or three more of them biscuits, and a couple more dips of that tomato gravy!  Now me, I woulda throwed a couple or three rooster bullets on top of that, but I eat like a hog, anyway. ;D

Yeah, but we have both ketchup AND tomato sauce. :-\ ::)

My dear wife is a Yankee (I was born in Missouri so I am not a true blood) and her family has been in NY for 350 years. Pretty much terminal Yankee.

A little background. Our little reforestation project is getting a lot of attention so we get visitors pretty steadily. A lot of the times they call and ask what they can bring us from the states that we can't get in Costa Rica. We will do things like order shoes (me - they don't have my size in the stores) and such.

Anyway, my dear wife ordered GRITS! Three boxes of the stuff.  However, there is hope, they brought Quick Grits (Albers).  Please tell me they aren't the real thing....  ::)

My house is being invaded by grits....

Next thing I know - Ana (our cook) will start experimenting with them.

Quick grits are OK..........if your in a hurry. :D I don't know what they do to rice to make it instant but I figure it's cook it till it's done then dehydrate it and call it instant. smiley_headscratch I don't know. Sounds like something you could do to grits or anything else. ???
