How far have you gotten on your swing blade project? I'm still stuck in the design phase of my project. I was thinking of welding up some aluminum channel, angle, and flat stock up into a rail similar to what Peterson's use. I haven't figured out what to use for the horizontal adjustment yet. I was going to build up something similar to the WPF. Any thoughts would be helpful.

I am trying to get up enough money to just buy one, but in the meantime I'm going to try to figure this out.

I can change my profile okay. No errors. If you can,t remove all the extra info in other fields and try.

Oh dangit. I've hit a bit of a roadblock and was looking for some inspiration. Can't quite afford to buy a Peterson just yet.

The wife put her foot down after my last injury at work. I have to find a new line of work.  Maybe after I finish school in September, I can buy one.

I got parts for sale  8) ;D ;D ;D  Got Aluminum box tube, too.  8) 8) ;) ;)

We bought an older model Peterson, and are about to widen it for bigger logs and add a Slabber Bar.

Dragonsbane, I thought you were going to let the swinger project go and build a band mill instead.

Yea, I was going to let it go. But spending a month in the hospital gave me alot of time to think. I'll never be totally happy with a bandmill. I WANT A SWINGER! :D Nobody has what I want, so I'm left building it.

Both the Peterson and the Lucas have features that I like and dislike. So I'm going to combine what I like and build my own. I have some preliminary drawing I made while in the hospital. Now I just have to get them reviewed by an engineer and go from there. I just wish I had paid more attention when I had a drafting class in high school.
