Messages problem

I have my personal messages sent to my email and that is a good thing since they are not showing up on the Forum. The message count grows but they aren't there 
Sometimes about 5 will appear at once. Sometimes they never show up.

Is anyone else having a problem like that ???

Hey Chickenbunny, Ya might want to check around outside the house for gnawed cables or something. It'll cause that problem everytime.   :D   Ya shoulda offed dat porky when ya had da chance.

Around here, there are aggressive mice. Maybe they are stealing messages inside the computer..... yah... that's it ....  I'll fix em ...I'll

I've been having the same problem... I had a couple show up in my email,and when I'm on here it doesn't show that I have any new ones. Its been like that for a few days now. And when I do reply to someone on here,it takes almost a minute for it to be sent. :-\

They show up in my email, but can take up to an hour to show up on the forum.

But they pop seemingly when one logs-on or when loading (entering, or signing in) the FF program.  If already running, nothing new pops up  -- I think.

please see "Server disconnect when posting" thread. Also, if you come to your instant messages via a link by email, you count will read zero. also, if the posts are not "showing up" until later its only because your browser did not refresh the page. There is no other way that can happen.  We already know that asy has trouble with page refresh after an incident last year where we changed smiles ans she could not see them.  Computers are pretty danG stupid at times. Harolds got one that aint only stupid, its senile and has some other major deficiencies. ;D

I've refreshed the page over and over. I've gone out and come back in. Once, I restarted my computer and they still didn't show up. I never get to the messages by the link in the email.

Was starting to think that a messages limit had been set and 54 ??? was the limit or beyond.

I am disabling email notification for emails.   It seems when I look at the server running at night, sendmail is so busy sending emails from all the people sending private messages that it can cause lags. So far this is just a theory so I am testing it.

SB, I had the same problem but I also had over 200 messages in my ff box.

I deleted about a dozen or so and suddenly the bashfull messages appeared. So now I'm doing a long over due cleaning out of my message box. I now remember this happening before, I just didn't put it together this way.

It has been a good thing for me as well. Maybe after the test we'll know more.

Maybe the real answer is to keep things cleaned up.  That reminds me, I need to go clean out the back of my truck.

Did ya clean your "outbox" as well?

With an empty outbox, I had to get my inbox message count under 20 for the "shy" messages to show up.

The strange part is, that I have 9 messages there and it says 7 ???
