Are you looking at doing a fixed blade or do you need one of them moveable while running??

Are you starting from scratch or do you have someting to build off of?

I would start doing some searches, the variable speed on the talon is based on belt tension and there are a lot of roller chains that drive the feed table.  I wish I would have gotten more pics. of the underside, it would give you a good idear of how the moveable blade moves.  My opinion, it may be cheaper to buy a good used one rather than build from ground up.
