Chainsaw GTG for learning
« on: July 01, 2008, 08:31:58 PM »
Just putting some feelers out there for a small type racing gtg for cutting up some 10x10 cants I have to use up.
I have 10x10 very dry poplar cants I got for practice for the Medina show in August. They gave a short notice they canceled the chainsaw racing this year. So I have extra cants that need used up and I would be sort of scared to run the better chains in them as dry as they are.

I was thinking a small gtg with a small lunch break sometime to use the wood up.

Racing Medina style. Hotstart saws running on ground both hands on top of wood, timer says go and time starts. Reach down grab saw and make 3 complete cuts in 6" of wood down up down.
Adrenaline rush without having your heart drop to the floor when you miss the starter handle on the cold start racing  .

Work on a date so that the guys that want to race can make it.
