Early christmas and birthday presents!

My mom came to town to see us, and I had been planning to get a few books to take overseas with me..specific books..Sobon's Timberframe Construction, and Roy Underhill's Woodwright..maybe a couple others..anyway,
Mom up and buys those two for me and caught me looking at the Woodbook at Barnes and Noble...and bought that one for me...God, but it is a gorgeous book...hundreds of species with color plates of radial transverse and quarter grains of each species...

They will make many hours of happy wood dreams while I am hundreds of miles from home.

I brought her home and let her play with the mill...I hauled a half nasty maple crotch out of my neighbors yard for him,
so we sawed it into table tops...there is some gorgeous burl and spalt in it...gonna make moms a live edge coffee table..

She was really blown away at how much gorgeous wood can come out of what would be firewood chunks in most anyone else's hands...

Now, If Woodmizer would just come through with that Super.....<GRIN>
