Red Elm. Any product to slow drying?.

Any Known product to slow the drying of hardwood?  My mill isnt done yet, Just picked these up,  they were short pieces in the 3 ft range, and i currently have nothing to pick them up with, so i 1/4 sawed them,  and they are still heavy !  the one with the dollar on it is 13" wide. Overall didnt do that bad of damage, for free material.    Their is one more piece still at the site,  is bout 3 ft long, and  over 2 ft dia.  and has bout 4, 8 in dia stubs out of it.   Some very wide rings in this log...  1/2 between rings.
