how much would a used 288 xp husky be worth in good condition. and what size engine does it have.

$350-500 depending on how good the "good condition" actually is.

Great saw in it's day but it would have to be really clean for $350.

Saw 2 on craigs last night..one was 250 and the other was 550.  Might buy the $600 2172 or the $300 echo 600 before I paid that much for either 288

$300 to $400 for a nice 288 is the norm. And that's for guys who were regular users of 288's and wish they still made them.

On the hobby side, it's always hard to say.
