I am looking to buy the next piece for making my job a little easier and faster, so the question is which one will suit me better? I'm cutting and limbing by hand and skidding with a C5D. ( been a great skidder so far ) I don't have a tractor to move a self propelled around but can drive it for short distance moves and there is a "big boy" logger that will move it otherwise. ( this logger I trust very much! There son is my best friend ) I may buy a tractor in the near future if i move in this direction and then buy a center mount trailer... On the other hand, have thought on buying a truck mounted and then buy a straight frame loader truck and maybe a pup to get around where the tractor trailers can't and then I can move freely whenever I want...
Any suggestions, input, or preferences would be a great help!

The bigger logger says that they would never own another truck mounted one even in my shoes...

truck mount is a pain in the ass.. always stuck when its a bit muddy or icy and legally they have to be plated to move them from site to site... also ur dealing with to completely separate units... two fuel systems..two engines double the problems... best to go with a self propelled.... just my opinion :)
