Possible "Won't Hook"

When sawing timbers and I have to roll with a cant hook, usually because they are 30' long or longer, I only put the hook in the last inch or two of timber. That way the hook holes will be docked off during framing.

I know you all are trying to add something to the point. But what about a strap wrench? I think that what it's called. I saw them at work to remove water filters canisters. I don't know if you could release it when the log was almost flipped over though.  :o

But I think Rooster was looking to try something quicker.  The strap has to be looped around the timber and the handle slid through each time.  A "can't hook" would theoretically drop right on the timber like a cant hook would.
Anything someone can design, I can sure figure out how to fix!
If I say it\\\\\\\'s going to take so long, multiply that by at least 3!
