Possible "Won't Hook"

I wanted to pitch this idea to you guys at Logrite...

This is a modified cant hook to be used for rolling timbers that you don't want to "bite" into and leave marks on finished beams. The tip and the point of the hook are replaced with replaceable rubber skate stoppers.

As a timber-framer, I know that I would use one to roll timbers in the shop, at the jobsite, or off my friend's mill.

What are your thoughts?

A heavy durometer rubber may do the trick, especially if it were molded to a bolt. This would allow for easy replacement.

Yes, this is what I've been asking for, to ease the heavy slabs over on the mill. My hydraulic claw turner chews them up.

Won't hook makes me think won't work, maybe Cant bite, Cant mark, Won't bite, so you don't have to say " pass me the cant hook with the rubber thingies on it".

I realize that, but I meant they could export it to Australia and market it as the cant spanner. Since Australians say spanner instead of wrench, for some reason.

The rubber pads might need to be a little bigger, and/or straight-edged in shape. ;)
