I had a great time as usual.  And I don't think I could keep my Dad away next time if I tried.  He kept commenting on the way home about what a great bunch of guys.  When he got in his recliner at the house he even did a great Poston imitation (long nap)! ;D  Thanks to Jake, Lorraine and everyone else who had a part!

Now there sure was some nice looking viddles. Glad all had a great time. My question is, what is the sycamore going to be used for? bg

I'm pretty sure WDH will kiln dry it, plane it and put it on the market.

David I could pay for the wood but I don't know I could afford the workmanship ,because he put his heart into it. I really don't want to use it, its just to nice.

Signed, sealed, and delivered.

Bill,

I will air dry the lumber for a while, then kiln dry it.  Then, I will offer it for sale.  It is very hard to find good q-sawn sycamore.

Thank you Lorraine and Jake for inviting us to your home.  Thank you Jake and Danny for allowing me to be apart of this event, and thank you both for the wood donations.  Julio, my stomach hurts a little bit every time i see you, dang good food.

I am glad i got to help a little without getting in the way.  I learned sweeping is not as much fun as it looks and i have to be told which stack each board goes to.  if i get to decide, i will pick the wrong one.

I had a great weekend, thank you all

Thanks for the reply. I just built a dinning table and it has some 1/4 sawn in it. Sycamore sure has some pretty rays in it. I wish that it was a harder wood to take more abuse. I like working with the good stuff thats not twisted. bg
