I was admiring his technique from my vantage point (in a chair at the far end of the mill ;D).

But watch him Julio......you may get a bill in the mail for 14 BF @ $5.50 a foot. I'm mean...it's business.  :D :D :D

Well, if you were doing the billing it'd be $300 !!!

David, you must still be drinking Jake's beer.  I never had a chair to make you get out of but if I had had a chair I'm pretty sure you would've sat in it since I know you sat in every chair out there. :D

David... that was ME that was makin' you get outta my chair!  :-)

I just looked in my car trunk and I'll be darned!  My chair ain't there!  I hope somebody put it to good use!

Just picked up and read the thread from before I left.   Great time.  I thank Jake and Lorraine for hosting such a wonderful time and I thank each and every one of you who attended.  You are all very special people.  And I even got to meet Magicman!

Oh, and somebody put a bug in my ear... I won't mention any names (Danny) about my forum picture not looking anything like me.  Well, I just wan't to point out that Poston's picture doesn't look anything like him either!

In any case, Danny took a picture of me in the sweltering Georgia heat with sawdust all over me.  Y'all saw me and what I looked like.  I'll be changing my picture as soon as retrieve my phone from church where I left it on Sunday.  Poston, I'll be expecting you to change yours as well!

I hate it I had to leave after lunch on Saturday, but was any sawing done on the walnut?

gr,

No, we did not saw any of the walnut.  Poston would have freaked out and wanted to buy the whole log for $300.

First, thank you Jake and Lorraine for hosting this awesome gathering of FF Friends.   Pat and I also enjoyed visiting with everyone.

Also thanks to Julio and his family for lending their cooking skills.

And the ladies filled in with the proper "fixin's".

Wild Bill watches as Raider Bill and DanG got a head start.

Slider is warming up and showing DanG and Wild Bill the proper dance moves.  Log Dawg is not impressed.

Where is "fat olde elf" when I need him??

Lorraine teaches me the proper way to advertise for Logrite.   ;D

Now is this a Logrite??   :o

Jake's words are lost on DanG, Raider Rill and Julio.

Isn't there an ordnance against this guy having fire this close to a tractor??

Glen, Danny, and Olen provide accompaniment.

And Poston provided the extra bass.

We started the morning with a hearty breakfast, and yes, that is Gritz.

Not only did Raider Bill smile and enjoy his bowl of gritz, he also cleaned his plate.   :)

Poston said "$300".  :)

Danny and Jake kept looking for some guy named "ray".  smiley_book2_page  "Mullberry Ray" I think.  smiley_dizzy

And then these two guys were caught loading their truck when no one was looking.   :o

We have all read about Jake sawing those 40' timbers.  Well, the delivery vehicle showed up after he finished sawing the Sycamore and I really think that Jake expected all of us to be gone by then.

Well the logs were tightly secured to the vehicle, so unexpectedly, we were going to witness Jake sawing oversized logs.

This sawing technique excited my curiosity to say the least.  What is Jake's secret market that he is closely guarding??

Propellers??   ???

Those Hawaiian shish-kabobs were delicious.

The chicken was beyond compare.  Julio, I brought home a piece for my wife and she said it was some of the very best that she ever had.
