They are uniform now after a visit from the chainsaw  :D.  The shade cloth is there to keep ME from turning red   :-[ .  It would also serve the purpose of keeping the worst of the sun off the lumber.

I will let the wood air dry for a while, maybe 60 - 90 days unless I need the wood sooner.  I also do not have to dry it all at the same time.

I would need a guided woods tour to check out the trees too. I was mowing the other day and saw a tree at the lower end of the field I have not noticed before. Had to look it up,a basswood. I don't have many on my land.

Yeah, Danny would be great, but can't hold a candle to Magicman. He gives guided woods tours, and then gives away highly valuable walnut trees that have fell in his creek  ;D

I doubt that.  I bet you'd still be a good tailman. And if you won't eat the smoked sucker, would you turn down some of the best sausage you'd ever sink you teeth into? :D
