take a saying from one topic and add it to another topics post  if so how    thanks

beenthere

Yes you can.

Highlight it, and do a copy  (alt_C)

Go to the other topic and click on the "insert quote" icon (just to the left of the °Deg icon), and the paste  (alt_V) what you have in between the quote brackets.  Or just type out the [ quote ] and [ /quote ] (without the spaces) and paste in between them.

That is if I understand correctly.   ;D

If a quote, then put it in quotes too.    :)

beenthere, when you quote that way, you don't have the ID of the original poster. It can be a real pain when you have to go back through the thread to see where, and who, the post came from.

Can always add the ID of the original poster if it seems important to the quote.
I use the quote to tie down what my response refers to so that it might make more sense... and the quote separates my response from someone else's.  Another way would be to highlight using a different color type and to put it between parentheses.

Don't make no sense when I have to go back through a bunch of replies to find out what you are trying to say either. I gave up on trying to follow your replies when you leave out whoever you quoted. It's a pain,as Dave said.

Hit the quote link on what you want to quote, then copy all of that. Then paste THAT in the post you want to add it to. That retains all of the post info from where the quote was taken from and allows you to click the link in the quote to go directly to, from where it was taken.
I can change my profile okay. No errors. If you can,t remove all the extra info in other fields and try.
