almost new ms 880

My partner an i just picked up a almost new 880 yesterday.Our friend bought it new and found that he hardly ever needed a saw that big.I don't think this saw has had over 6 or 8 tanks of mix through it.
We have a tree business so this saw will help on some of the large ones that we take off at ground level.
It came with a 36 in bar.
My favorite although is my 8 year old 361.

8) You don't want to be packing it around all day but as was mentioned it will be a good stumping saw.

The reason a large saw lasts so long is once the novelty wears off they don't get that much use .

I have an adopted 084 in my shed, step saw so to speak .The only action it has seen in the last 5 years has been at GTG's .The trimmer who owns it never uses it .

Steve and A L Smith you are both right on this one and that's just how we wound up with this one.Although it will be a good tool in our tree service.Most of the time we take the stump down to ground level.

The big saw came in handy today on this big cedar.I had to split it to get it on the mill.The log was over 36 inches at one point because the bar came up short.I will admit that i'm not as good as custom sawyer but i'm learning .We have 2 oaks and one hickory that are this big or bigger.
What i have learned is my one gallon 20 year old mix can is too small.

Georgia has some monster trees. If you do tree service, you'll be finding uses for that saw. Get a longer bar though, for 36" you don't need that big of a saw. Yeah, big saws love fuel. Lots of it. A fair trade off for what they can do though.
