I'm having trouble with my 450 Rancher to idle.
I've replaced a scored piston.  It has 90 lbs. of compression when it's cold.  How do I tell if I have a bad carburetor,  or a leaky cylinder head gasket.

Thanks,
Rick

Welcome. It has 90 PSI after a new piston/ring? That's barely enough to even run. Need to inspect cylinder for scoring.

90psi is low. Likely that it would run but no power, probably stall in the cut. I would hope for compression more like 160 down to 135 (hopefully higher than 135).
The saw is more fun than the purpose of the wood... the forest is trembling 🌳
