New log mill in maine!

Well, not new but one that was reopened after being closed for 7-8 years! The old Maces lumber mill in readfield maine is open and looking for hemlock logs. New owners as sonny and everet are both dead now. Its called by the board lumber.

They bought it late last winter I think. Its a good size mill.

How does your Hemlock run?
Quite a bit of shake here and also the Hemlock wooly adelgid is a concern mostly in eastern NY but it has been found near me in central NY

Mace mill is just a few miles from me. Dimension Lumber in East Livermore buys hemlock too. I sold a few loads to them.
I have seen some new signs in front.

Glad to hear that for you guys up that way. Certainly good news.
Will they only be sawing hemlock? And if so what are they sawing it into?
I've always liked hemlock and feel it is kind of an underused resource.
