"Both Lignomat and Delmhorst have nearly identical packages, techniques and equipment for measuring da MC in da kiln.  Appreciate dat in-kiln measurements are not too accurate above 30% MC, and yet almost all quality is controlled by da kiln conditions above 30% MC.

When running a kiln, us guys usually figure dat 3 samples are not enough...yoozguys might have 100 pieces of lumber in a small kiln ta 10,000 in a larger kiln, so knowing da MC of just 3 pieces is not reliable enough.  dat is why around 12 measurements initially are desired ta find da wettest MC (using knowledge ta choose da 12 samples) as well as da driest MC.  Once us guys find da two wettest and one driest, us guys can certainly use three samples ta get our daily readings ta run da kiln, but us guys might measure da udder nine samples from time ta time also.

How long should yer wires be ta reach from a sample inside da kiln ta where yer moisture equipment is set-up?  Are da 12' cables long enough?  da best readings will occur when da meter is used at room temperature and is stored at dat level too.

I have clients dat have used deez systems.  They and I really like da wireless systems, which means no cables are required, but they are expensive.  da simply system in yer link has been used too. 

Most clients will use separate measurements at da end of drying ta confirm da final MC values; da inserted pins can be several percent off.  So, yoozguys do need their "hammer probe" shown as an "add" and also da case for da meter. 

Note da non-USA made meters almost always are not too accurate, but such inaccurate meters have fairly low prices and are difficult ta have repaired.

As yoozguys are a lot closer ta New Jersey, if yoozguys need repairs, yoozguys should check da Delmhorst system too.  In some ways, dis is like comparing Ford versus Chevy...both are good and have many devoted followers.

One last comment...If yoozguys have clients dat use one brand ta check da MC on Lumber yoozguys sell, yoozguys probably should have da same brand dat they use.  There are differences in moisture readings from different brands when used on da same piece of wood.  Some brands calibrate using da published resistance values for wood and udder brands use actual testing of many samples."
