That would be a problem now that "feet" have changed. The original measurement 'foot' was some European Royalty's appendage, and in Canada, we recently went from Queen Liz to King Chuck. The new coins show him as mostly a portrait of a nose with a set of ears. Not much room left over for the coin.
So, there may be some change in the metric being used, not to put too fine a decimal point on it.

I'm trying to figure out how to add a block heater to my backhoe so it'll start when it gets good and cold out. Yesterday I finally remembered to take it out of the barn and into the sun so I could take a few pictures of the engine so I could ask for assistance in where the block heater would go (I'm still confused). Well, I reversed the backhoe out of the barn into the sun, yanked up the parking brake and raised the loader, so I could see the engine better. I even remembered the safety stop so the loader could crash down on top of me! I then went to the passenger side and pulled off the engine cover, to see the throttle linkage or whatever it's called that you can rev the engine with at the engine. The engine was a little cold and I goosed it a bit and I noticed the machine lurch a little, hmm, that's weird. Oh crud! It's still in reverse! I went around and sure enough. The parking brake did its job.


Luckily, I was standing in front of the front tire, so it wouldn't have easily run me over, but also luckily I didn't put it in forward gear, that could have gotten bad quickly.

Uh, I got lucky.

I have a saying when you get off the machine turn it off!
When I 1st got my bobcat it used to creep  a few inches every minute, well one time I got off, went into the barn, got sidetracked came out about 20 mins later and no bobcat, I had jumped out for a second, no parking brake applied, found the bobcat stopped against a tree down beside of the barn.

Found my skinning plyers this afternoon cleaning ashes from the owb.  Dumped a shovelful into the barrel and there they were.  Must have set them on top of the burning paper in the kitchen and they got covered up.

I think it has to do with a distribution rights between NBC in US and Global TV in Canada, Global bought the rights to broadcast SNL in Canada so NBC is not suppose to.

A network can sell Exclusive Rights rights to Broadcast in another country to a network there. If they do that, and then post it to a Free Internet Stream that's also available in that country, then it wasn't an exclusive deal any more.

In the US, they own the rights, so they can broadcast it live, AND then post it online next day for the extra views. But their "exclusive" deal with the Canadian Network is then worthless.

Common problem as streaming content becomes more common. Geographic areas become less of an issue. , expect where those content rights are concerned. And hence the rise of VPN services, where you relay your connection off a server in another country to hide your true location

OK sorta back story, PatD's TV is a 55" Sony flat screen which works really well.  Now what I need is suggestions on a replacement that will change the channels when you punch the appropriate buttons on the phone.     smiley_dizzy

Samsung Tv has something called "smart things".  The app for the phone allows me to change the channel from my phone.  It's not as convenient as the actual remote, but it can be done.

Been too busy trying to change the channel.  I pressed the volume button and got dial tone so I am making progress.   :D
