Unless I missed something in the photo there Brandi, I suspect son is the favorite child.   :D
Not really.  I never like playing favorites and shower each child heavily at different times and amounts.  It all evens out.  He is the oldest.  I also told him the parking spot will be moved once I build the log house.

Good to hear Elam and his support are nearing the goal!  It looks like a good break from the mountains.

Don't over do while sick  Brandi.  Gotta heal then move on.

When the kids started the sibling rivalry thing and say "But you let Suzie have that or you let Billy do that." the irrefutable response is always "Yes, but we love Suzie more than we do you." :D

Just remember, when flying on a commercial airliner, if the oxygen masks deploy you will only have a couple of seconds to decide which child gets the mask first.  Favorite may not be the way to go in that case.  Perhaps which one has more potential to provide for you in the future?  :D

When it rains, it pours.  Today, I realized my hot water shutoff valve under my bedroom sink was leaking.  Luckily, it's leaking on the way to the sink, so those valves are closed for now.

I don't wanna do anything.  I start sweating and I feel awful.  Just driving makes my head swim.
I'll try to replace the line tomorrow.

That is simple.  I would put the mask on my Grand daughter.  I have worked for the airlines long enough, my kids know everything needed to know about emergency equipment on an airliner.  Including the crash ax in the cockpit.  Every time we flew (for fee) I would grill them on where to sit that is the safest and where the emer. equipment was located.

We looked at a house once that had built in toasters in the bathroom wall. The place was a time capsule from the '60s. The shag carpet in the same room was impressive to say the least, but even that place didn't have a sink in the bedroom.

Big ugly sweet gum.  I sawed 8/4 with a 4" X 20" mantle out of the heart.  With all the knots plus sweep in the log I wonder what the lumber will look like after it air dries.  Probably a one time customer so I'll never know I suspect.

Southside,
You are getting as bad as Howard.  The sink is in the bathroom that is in my bedroom.
The bedroom is in my house, not in the barn.
I remember warming up my bottom to wall toasters.  Both bathrooms had them.  We didn't have central heat when I was little (or A/C).  Just gas stoves throughout the house.  Heck ,we didn't have shag carpeting until the '70s.  In the '60s, we only had wood floors.  Was shag carpetng even made in the '60s?  But we had an attic fan.............and black and white television.

Now comparing me to Howard is low.  I would not slam an outhouse door that hard.   :D  First thought that came to mind when I saw those toasters was "How many housed did this company burn down?"

Well, it was either him or Doc.  Doc was nowhere to be seen at that time.

Well let me tell what I am thinking (if I may be so bold) about when I say that.  At our last class reunion, a very nice girl from our class was there.  and yes, I thought she was pretty great in HS, but she married a guy 3 years older than her, and they ran a business.  Some folks seemed to jump right in.  Heck it took me 12 years to finish college.  It was not funny but comical to hear her refer to him (at the last reunion) as her X husband to everyone she saw, and to me about 3 times.  I think she even said, "did I mention he is my X husband!".   Anyway, she is a former homecoming queen and nice but...  I am happy with the one I got.  her (my wife's) family is a mess, just like mine, so it worked out perfect.   :)

I was originally talking about the log, so... fits in the thread.

Doc - I think you just found an excuse to get a bigger skid steer.  You're gonna need it to fill in that hole you've been digging.   :D

I normally do not saw any customer's logs anywhere other than their location but last evening after dark a many times repeat customer delivered 5 ERC logs to Marty's yard.

Grandson Ben used the U25 to unload the logs and ....

This morning I used the M4900 to move the logs.

I love the Thumb for keeping the logs stable while I am moving.  It will be at least mid-December before I can get to them, maybe January but no problem because these will be for half-log stair risers for the customer's new home.  Luke and I sawed his framing lumber back in the Summer.

Yes, it's good for stabilizing logs, slabs, etc. that are across the forks which is what I had in mind when I bought it.  Just gotta remember to release it when you want to dump.  ::)

That is the longest available but I wish that it was a foot longer.
